Pastor Gerry BrownBACKGROUND
U-Turn for Christ Ministries was founded by Pastor Gerry Brown from the United States of America in the early 90's as an outreach ministry of Calvary Chapel. Pastor Gerry has been used of God since then to plant churches and U-Turns all over the world including this one.

U-Turn for Christ Kenya has been operational since 2008 and has since rehabilitated hundreds of men who are now assets to their communities.

OUR OBJECTIVE
Our primary focus is to establish or strengthen the enrollees' relationship to our Lord Jesus Christ. All of the choices that lead to addiction and the behaviors that follow are scripturally recognized as "SIN".

The Ministry encourages the enrollee to leave with a long time goal of stabilizing himself within a year period of deciding firmly that he will allow the Lord to lead him and control his life and to become an asset to his family, church, friends, employer, school and society.

ABOUT THE PROGRAM
U-Turn For Christ is a residential NON SMOKING drug and alcohol program dealing with men who are seeking restoration from drug and alcohol addiction, through our Lord Jesus Christ. We are based entirely on the Word of God, the Bible, and get all counsel from it. It has been our experience that with a solid grounding in the Bible and good Christian living skills, numerous men and women have been able to become productive, vital members of their community. Our primary focus is to establish or strengthen a relationship with our Lord Jesus Christ. Jesus is the only way to true freedom from the bondage of the sin of addiction.

Phase 1
In Phase-1 of our program, participants spend a minimum of 2 months at one of our U-Turn for Christ Ranch locations. Participants stay in military-style quarters, one large room filled with bunk beds. This type of housing promotes healthy fellowship. “As iron sharpens iron, so a man sharpens the countenance of his friend” (Proverbs 27:17). Throughout the day, participants are involved in morning devotions, daily chores, volunteer community service, evening Bible study, and nightly personal devotion time.

Phase 2
The second phase of the program is six months long, and comes with two possible paths to travel. Some return to work, pay a monthly donation, and attend church with first phase in the evening. Others are chosen to commit six months of service to the Lord, and are provided for by the ministry. This last choice comes with considerable sacrifice. Servants of Christ can be called on at all times to serve in many different ways. The six month period does not have to be the end. Many who return to work stay a year or more choosing a higher level of accountability and fellowship for their lives. In addition, many who have stayed on to serve in ministry are now serving at other facilities in the United States, and around the world.

Maximum success is achieved by completing the 2nd phase which is additional six month commitment. During this period, the men are obligated to obtain employment or complete their studies.

ADDITIONAL SERVICES.

We also offer counseling services for those individuals who have not yet accepted their addiction. A counselor may come on invitation to join the family for an intervention.

We also visit secondary schools and other institutions on invitation for drug alcohol awareness. We show films, give testimonies and have question and answer time. We believe that awareness programs are important to reach the young generation before they begin using drugs.
